Jacket Part6: sleeves and lining
Heyhey,
so with the sleeves the jacket looks pretty finished and with the finished lining we are down to 2 last parts that need to get connected (next week) I really like my jacket already. Even though I hate sewing this typical lining fabric… its so slippery and unforgiving. But I love jackets and I want to wear it and look nice so it needs a lining, and if I want to wear it not only above tops but also sweaters it needs a lining like that…. so, pulling myself together and forcing myself to sewing lining
but first: sleeves! Read the rest of this entry
braided tanktop styling
Heyhey,
sadly it got colder again, but forecast is good so I am still hopeful for summer… its also a good thing to
have some “long pants weather” in between, just for getting all favorite summer clothes in the washing machine.
Top: sewn by me (tutorial) I really like wearing those with a knot in front
Tanktop: upcycled by me (tutorial)
Pants: esprit
Haircolor: Loreal Preference :p

flower power
Heyhey,
so another baby-pants isnt that cute? I just have to wait for a taxnumber and I can start my shop.
well this one took quite a while because of the applique. But I really like the final look!
and as you can see, I am still in my 70s phase, the funny thing about that is that I saw in the stores the fashion for autumn and it looks like 70s.

striped tanktop styling
Heyhey,
as promised I get better at posting stylings. Today I wear one of my tanktops (tutorial here) with shorts. The shorts is actually a long story… I am trying to remember I think I bought it at least 8 years ago, (at a store named made in italy) when it was still long pants with a funny print… then I wore it for a few years… and cut it to shorts… I dont remember if it was broken or just got to short, but anyhow I turned it into shorts, probably when graduating highschool and then in fashion school I dyed it dark-blue, by then I was dyeing a lot of my clothes dark, but all others I gave away or just didnt wear anymore, because later I disliked the color, but those shorts survived somehow
Well its still summery out as you might have guessed and I am so glad I get at least some days of summer, maybe even weeks (you can wish huh?)
you notice I am standing next to my jacket?

painting an old long-sleeve new
Heyhey,
so I did another upcycle just with textile color and brushes… its actually inspired by the dvd-cover design if the movie juno, which is also made with stripes and writing in between… and I liked the look… its an old long sleeve my mum decided she wouldnt wear again… shes a size smaller then me, but with that jersey it still fits and I like tight clothes. Well here’s what I did:
new fabrics and buttons
Heyhey,
so the 20th passed and noone wanted to win the ikea-bag
well luckily I like it and so it will stay with me
I went to a fabric store today with my sis and mum and of course I got 2 new fabrics… and let my sis and mum pick out some buttons for new baby-pants.

I liked those check-fabrics best.

thats the buttons they picked… even though: the white bears with the black noses arent buttons… they are for small round elastics to keep them in place at jackets or such… well they are cute, I will have a project one day where I can use them;) but arent they cute? I guess my mum and sis had a lot of fun.

which zipper for the jacket do you like better?
Heyhey,
I got my other zipper, I really start liking fadenversand, this time they put a little candy in the letter. Isnt that cute? Well anyhow now I have to decide which zipper I want to use, what do you think?

Looking forward to your help with this decision.

Jacket Part4: Waistband, Collar and Pockets
Heyhey,
so you and I wanted pockets in my jacket and it has pockets now.
This were my next steps:

I do my pockets in my side-seams, because its easy and doesn’t change the look of the jacket, because its almost invisible. Go at least 4cm up from the edge, so you have some corner to keep your stuff in the pocket and it wont drop out of it easily. Read the rest of this entry
new cute baby-pants

Heyhey,
I made another baby-pants, cute huh? Well its actually based on the pattern of the other baby-pants,I just changed it up a bit, made it a a little more hippie.
I aint sure yet which buttons fit best, so please let me know what you think in the survey.
