shirtdress: cutting the fabrics

so today I am remembering its friday. One more week and I will be moving. Currently I am not sure if I am getting things in order or maximize the chaos. 😉 Anyhow here are the next steps for the shirtdress: DSCF4909first I placed the centre front and back parts on the orange fabric, as well as the sleeve, collar and collar stand

DSCF4911then I pinned them to the fabric and cut

DSCF4912collar and collar stand needed to be cut twice in fold

DSCF4910now I pinned the side front and back to the beige fabric and cut

DSCF4913I also used a really soft fusible interlining for collar and collar stand, also cut twice in fold

DSCF4914DSCF4915now I ironed the interlining to the fabric

DSCF4920and while I was already ironing I also ironed the double fold facing at the centre front and secured it with a few pins in place

I will see if I manage to post the next steps next friday, maybe it will become saturday again before I find enough time. Next monday I am starting with the first steps for the jacquard skirt and wednesday with the retro print blouse, so stay tuned!

keep sewing and smiling
