my ring

DSCF6100Heyhey,

so I thought since a lot of you, my dear readers, are from the USA I need to say a few words about the ring I am wearing. Maybe you remember I told you that my grandma died last fall; I inherited her wedding ring. Which I am wearing in memory of her and my grandpa. In Germany you wear your wedding ring on the right hand, so I am wearing this ring on my left. But then I remembered that in the USA (and other countries maybe too) you wear the wedding ring on the left hand, and since my left hand quite often gets photographed I thought I better explain, before you think I did not tell you about my wedding. If I ever marry, I will tell you about it;)

  1. Thank you so much for explaining that! I’d watch shows from various countries and the women were obviously not married, but had rings on the left hand “ring finger” and it made me wonder (obviously not long enough to google it however) if things were different. Very cool – thanks!

    • you are very welcome! I am glad I could help. In Germany you propose without a ring, then buy later the wedding rings together, and wear them while still engaged on the left hand, and then put them on the right hand on wedding day 😉

I love to read your comments
