Heyhey,
day 9 and 10 were on the weekend october 17th and 18th. I don’t know, if this gets reported in other countries but the locomotive drivers in Germany are doing strikes, often over a few days, at the moment. They are starting again early tomorrow and will put the whole country to a stop until monday. Well anyhow, the last big strike was at that weekend I am telling you about. And I traveled to Dresden by train, so you might guess my problem ;). I got there ok, but after arriving I heard about the strike starting the afternoon. So I went to class that friday, but skipped classes the saturday and went to the train station early in the morning hoping they would find a way for me to get back to Berlin somehow. It took me twice the normal time, but I was one of the lucky ones and found a way.
So this is only what we did in pattern classes the weekend before and that friday:
a vest/waistcoat
a simple t-shirt or blouse
different sleeves
a corsage
arm-hole and sleeve variation
and another way to construct a sleeve.
Again I am really sorry I kept you waiting so long, it gets a little difficult to remember what happened when. But I will try to do better in the future. I hope this is interesting for you, if you have any questions please let me know!

Actually I do have a question… your pattern drawings are beautiful! Do you use a computer for them or hand draw with rulers, curves and such things?
I do them by hand… they are all at a 1:4 scale. I also know some pattern making computer programs, but they are quite expensive, so I stick with hand-construction for now.
i am impressed! I would love to be able to draw a simple pattern for myself …. maybe someday!
thank you! it actually is not that hard, if it gets explained well. There are some great books about it. Sadly I only know german ones, or I would suggest you one.
That’s ok. I am finding books on the subject, but taking it very slowly! Step by step! I enjoy reading about your classes. Thank you!
I hope you find a good book and all the best!
