I do the same tour I tried last year: Charlotte, Button and I cycle the NaturlandetRundt in Denmark. You can read all about my trip for far here: day0, day1, day2, day3, day4, day5
Today I am resting, but I still owe you yesterdays report. So here it is.
First I had to take just another sun down at the harbour pic:

I slept ok at the shelter, but I had to close the sleeping bag up fully for the first night this tour. I am not sure if it was the shelter or just a colder night.
The next morning I thought I was doing well time-wise, and then it was still 10:20 am when we left the campground. I knew I had to a long trip that day, because I did not have any more food for breakfast and dinner left and the next shop was in Nakskov. So I was trying to leave early. This day I felt often like I was sailing. Thanks to all the turns the wind came from the front or the side and sometimes from the side-back. And there was also the rain, so finding rest-spots was kind of difficult. But luckily I knew some part of the tour that day, because it was the same as the Danish Baltic Sea Bicycle Route I did 2 years ago. So I knew that in Sandvig was a shelter place right at the route with a resting place that had a roof and half-walls. But until then I had to cycle over 20km:

21.2 km in 1:58h, so average speed of 10.7km/h, which I am kind of proud of because of the wind and rain. I burned 620kcal in those 2 hours with an average heart rate of 125.
Someone was really unhappy about me resting there though:

The next part into Nakskov I knew and also where I wanted to shop. In Nakskov was my favorite Supermarket of the whole 19 days on the Baltic Sea Bicycle Route.
So I fought the wind some more and parket Charlotte again at the same spot as 2 years ago:

32.1km in 2:59h, average speed 10.7km/h, 337kcal, average heart beat 123
Then I had to find ways to get everything rainproof on Charlotte. By then I was dry again. Sadly it did not stay that way, but first I took a small shortcut through Nakskov, because I remembered being really annoyed 2 years ago about the weird round the way was leading…
And then we cycled right next to the coast through rain and wind until Langø where I had to take this pic, sadly smell does not photograph well:

5km later I reached the campground soaked. So we went under some roof and waited for the rain to stop, so I could pitch our tent.

Do not get fooled by the rainbow. I waited till 10pm. :S When the tent was finally up, everything inside, including me, but excluding mosquitos, I decided I did not care anymore about anything and I would shower and get everything in order today and just went to sleep.
So what did I do today? Shower and Laundry. I also let Button take a ride in the tumbler. He had a lot of fun and is dry enough to be inside the tent again…

what else? rest up, read, eat and prepare the next days…

We cycled yesterday:

49.7 km
4:38:11 h moving Charlotte
average speed: 10.7km/h
max speed: 17.8 km/h
total km: 183.6
money spent:
185 DKK for groceries (yesterday)
40€ for the 2 nights on the campground including the washing machine and the tumble dryer and detergent.
Health stats: yesterday/today
1613/124 kcal burned,
1869/4428 steps,
292/0 minutes of training and
heart rates between 41/47 and 181/117bpm.
I will be writing about my next cycling day tomorrow so you can pedal along with us!
keep exploring and smiling
