So here comes a little bit about me: I am a 36 years old woman, currently living in Norderstedt, Germany.
I made my first fashion drawings at the age of 10, with 13 I finally got my mum to put me in a sewing class, in my second last year in high school I made the costumes for the school play after I decided with 15 I wanted to become a costume designer. After graduation, I went for 6 months as an AuPair to Ecuador, after that to fashion school, which I left 2010 with a degree in fashion design and one in tailoring. Well, let’s say it the easy way: the costume designer bit did not work out.
I am a little bit of a gipsy never staying in one place longer than a few years (because I get bored easily), maybe that will change someday.
I also change my hair colour quite often, and I go through different and sometimes eccentric styling phases. 🙂
I am the mommy-type always taking care of others, I love my friends and family.
I am a little obsessed with movies and sometimes talking in quotes no one else understands. Reading is another thing I like to do, but films have the advantage that I can watch them while sewing, blogging, cutting movies and cooking. I have to cook because I have celiac disease and have to stick to a gluten-free diet. I also do quite some sports, so I am actually paying a lot of attention to what I eat.

funny: I discover your blog and I fee reeeeally jealous about you. Well, in a good way, NOT that kind of jealous that doesn’t want you to be successful and shining. I am just so impressed about what people- like you – do with their lives. And I was always just afraid…of failure mainly. stupid, I know
no its not stupid, and its never to late, you can always decide today is the day you want to change your life. My way sometimes is really a little scary because it does not bring in money every month, so I will see if I dont have to go back to a full time job at one time in my life;)

some advise from an old lady. Check where you are putting your energies. Make sure they are fuelling your own projects first. Remember on an aeroplane they advise you to put your own oxygen mask on before you start helping others. Your blog is wonderful.
thank you for worrying 😉 and you are right, I am a helper and sometimes I get lost in it, but I had to learn early, that I cant please everyone. Sewing makes me happy by the way, and I am sewing for myself mostly and for my shops, and I love my current life even though its stressful a lot more then before. But thanks for reminding me to take breaks. 😉

What an adventurous life you have had! My daughters are both coeliac and I think that the upside is that our cooking skills have increased dramatically since their diagnosis and our food is so much more interesting!
its similar with me, I really dont even notice normally that I cant eat everything, the only times its getting a little difficult is when eating out (glutenfree is a word not yet common in german restaurants) and eating on the road when smelling those pizzas and such when being hungry 😉

You are right, I am ALWAYS busy. I have so many projects on the go at once that some days I am not sure where to start. I have decided to be a little more disciplined about it and now have a wall where I pin all my projects in the order I want to make them. I do allow myself to change the order when I find something I HAVE to make now! We are also busy restoring an old stone house that used to be a pub dating from 1650 and this takes up a huge amount of time and then I have to neglect the sewing – boo!!
oh an old pub? sounds like fun! youre restoring it to become your home? One day you will be finished and have lots of time for sewing again 😉
yeah, I am a little disorganized with the order I do my projects in too, trying to put them in order as well, but often I just change them up according to my mood, but as long I still finish them I am fine. Blogging helps me to be a little more organized I noticed. 😉
It is fun but so much hard work but we have 10 years to finish it! I have some pictures on my other blog – lifesanapple. I agree that you should do what you feel like as long as you are finishing things. Keep up the good work. 😄

Thank you for your kind words! 🙂 About the recipes I am probably not very helpful. I actually have had coeliac my whole life, I just never ate much bread and such, so I just cook without flour (at least half of my food is veggies). What I like to do, even though they always break in pieces are buckwheat pancakes. I normally do not even think about it, just eating out is always a big problem. They normally dont even know what I am asking, if I ask for gluten-free meals. Every time I travel in other countries they seem to be a lot better informed though, so I hope for the best;)
