Heyhey,
I am so sorry I am one day late again. this week my plans are all not working out, I am really sorry. Anyhow here are the last steps for the retro print blouse. If you missed the first part you can find them here: part1 and part2.
I pinned the hem double folded and sewed it.
same with the sleeve hem
the collar I folded up, the inner seam allowance into the collar and pinned, then I swed it with hand stitching to keep that seam invisible.
next I had to decide for a button, you helped me with that
then I took a short strip of the fabric, the length of the circumference of the button plus a little bit for seam allowance I pretty much guessed that one;), folded in half and sewed
then turned the right side out
now sewed the button to the right place, put the strip around it and close the collar to find the right placement for the strip
then sewed it on there with a few stitches
and my finished blouse, I really like it in general, but I feel pretty aware of the really low cut in the front, so if I do it again I might rise that a little up.
I hope this was helpful for you! All questions, wishes and suggestions are most welcome!
Next thursday I will start with the next tutorial! For this jacket:
keep sewing and smiling
