Heyhey,
so as you might have noticed I was fabric shopping last wednesday. I needed some things the little store here didn’t have, so I took the one hour train ride to Bremen. First I went to the fabric department in the Karstadt, but they didnt have some of the things I needed. So while eating lunch I asked my cellphone and google for other fabric stores in Bremen and I found the Stoff-Haus. Well I found it online fast, the finding in the real world took a little longer, since I dont know Bremen that well, and my battery in the
phone was really low. Anyhow it was totally worth the search, its quite a big store and has a lot of fabrics, also for decorating and home. And its not that far from the main station. π The women working there were really nice as well and know their stuff. What I really liked was that they didnt only have the colors that are trendy right now, but also some for me. π So if you ever get to Bremen, Germany, you should definitely pay the Stoff-Haus (Fabric-House) a visit. That store looks fantastic! I’ll not be shopping in Germany, but your virtual tour was Oh, so fun! Thanks!
thank you and you are very welcome!
Wow, the store looks amazing!
it really is π
Ajajajajjj….think if I enter would not want to leave π Very nice place! Thanks for showing us
until you found some fabrics that gave you great ideas, then you would want to get to your sewing machine I guess π
One of my grandmothers was a sewing lady (that was her business). I did try it. Even at elementary school we had one semester on sewing basics. So little bit of theory I know, but when it comes to finalize the project I am complete idiot. Sometimes I enter the “stoff” shops and look around daydreaming how and what would be nice to be done with some of them. I love those summer wrap shirts, that should be easy to make (I think) with some beautiful silk fabrics, or some of those wrapping skirts (or skirt pants)…but am afraid of ruining the fabric π if I try it on doing it myself. So am glad I follow you. Am sure you will inspire me and give me courage to try making something of my own in the future. So thank you for sharing your ideas and knowledge. π
thank you for your kind words:) If you are scared for the fabric buy some cheap remnants and test the pattern first, so you know before cutting if it will fit. π love your creativity with your amigurumi by the way
What a fantastic store – wish I could take a real tour too.
do you have a chance to get to Germany?
I haven’t visited Germany for a long time but I’ve always loved it whenever I have.
So I guess you have to come back to visit the fabric store. π
