how to sew… a blouse based on dress #101 of burda 09/15

IMG_0913Heyhey,

here are some more pictures I took before my move. Its the first steps for the project with the most votes of burda 09/15. Its dress #101, which I will turn into a blouse.

DSCF7800first I copied all patterns of the pattern-sheet for the top part of the dress. I added seam allowance to the sleeve, collar stand and the 2 top front parts

DSCF7801 the front-waist-parts and the back-part I also copied onto paper

DSCF7802and made it longer, so it will be hip-long, I made it wider towards the hem

DSCF7803and then also made the dart longer

DSCF7804then I did also add a hip-part to the waist-part

DSCF7805looks like this

DSCF7806then I checked the hem-width

DSCF7807to see if it is wide enough for my hips

DSCF7808then added seam allowance

DSCF7809my finished pattern parts look like this

DSCF7810then I placed them on my fabric

DSCF7811for my cuffs, piping and collar stand I will use the brown fabric I made my jumpsuit of

DSCF7812the top-front-part with the button-facing I cut on grain, to mix up the print within the blouse

DSCF7813the different prints I am using. If you like the fabrics you can order them for your next project here: brown with stripes and beige boxes.
