Heyhey,
my new small bag to keep all the small stuff in my bag organized is doing a great job so far 😉 Here is the step by step how I made it:
First I made myself a pattern in the wished size
Then I drew that on my cork-fabric twice
the same with the lining
for the middle part I also cut 2 partsÂ
the 6 parts needed for my bag
I wanted the middle part to be a little stronger, so it would stay straight. Thats why I used fusible interlining.
and ironed it on both pieces
now I placed the zipper on the top, right sides facing each other
then I opened the zipper
and sewed it in place
looks like this when closed
now I did the same with the other side
looks like this
now I placed the lining right sides facing each other at the top and sewed
and did the same with the other side
for the middle part I placed the pieces on top of each other, right sides inside and sewed the top seam and the corners, and I cut in at the corners
and turned the right side out and ironed.
I hope this was helpful for you. Do you have any questions about this project so far? Do not hesitate to ask! Next week I’ll show you the last steps for this small bag.
Do you like the print of my lining? You can order fabric with this print here.
keep sewing and smiling
