adventure preparation 49

Moin

This week I got my back panniers and started to worry.

(This is a weekly blogging series, started before I did my first weeklong bicycle tour around the little belt on the Danish Baltic Sea Bicycle Route.  Now I want to do the whole Bicycle Route next year, and for that, I do some shorter tours to stay in training, study Danish, do other sports, sew some things, plan, map, buy, and worry. And blog about that every Sunday… it is an adventure already.)

I already told you about getting the back panniers, so Charlotte can be loaded up now for future tours. Actually, I had planned to cycle with her to a meeting with friends last Friday. I probably would have only taken one back pannier but could have tested out her lights. Anyway, it got cancelled because most of the friends did not feel comfortable meeting. Since they are age-wise endangered by the virus, I could understand their motivation even though I would have enjoyed our meeting.

Anyways why did I start to worry? Because Denmark closed its borders for the next 4 weeks. I mean, my bicycle tour begins in a little over 2 months… but who knows if by then I am allowed to cycle through Denmark? I know I should not worry about things that might never happen, but better worry now and look for possible alternatives, if it will turn out to be that way. Don’t you think?

Other weekly preparations:

I studied 20 minutes Danish, (yay me)

did 5 mornings with 4 yoga-flows + 2 exercises for back+belly,

2 evenings training feet + stretch,

did 2 functional fitness for cyclists workouts,

went to the gym 0 times, (maybe I would have, but it is closed)

went not to swim-training, (which is sad, because now there is no more swim training)

and cycled 22.23km in 1:34:23h with Leif and 0km in 0h with Charlotte.

keep exploring and smiling
