so here are the next steps of the crazy print skirt, the pattern can be found here.

I folded the fabric parallel to the selvedges at a good place in the print, and ironed that fold, then  I placed the skirt pattern right at the fold, pinned and cut

now I took the new cut piece and placed it again on the fabric (I used about 3m) and made sure the print will be the same on both pieces

next I cut the flap in fold

folded it open and placed it on the fabric to match up the fabric for the second part

now I sewed into the left side seam an invisible zipper, tutorials on how to sew in and invisible zipper can be found here and here. then I sewed the other side seam

and because my fabric is fraying quite a bit, I used my serger on the seam allowances of my side seams, be smarter then me and serge the left side seam (the one with the zipper) before you put the zipper in, each edge for itself

now I pinned the flap together, the bottom end stays open, same as the lowest 4 cm of the sides

sew and cut of the corners, then turn the right side out and iron the seams

you start getting a picture of what it will look like!
