how to make a lined jacket with hood: fix lining in jacket

Heyhey,

one week late, I am sorry, but finally the last steps for the jacket. If you didn’t read the first parts yet, you can find them here: part1, part2, part3.

DSCF5161next I pulled the hood back through the hole

DSCF5162and pinned the seam allowance (folded apart) together,

DSCF5163then sewed

DSCF5164now I pulled the neck-seams through the hole

DSCF5165and pinned seam allowances together again and sewed, this way the hood-parts will stay together

DSCF5166now I pinned the seams at the sleeve hem

DSCF5167DSCF5168then pulled the sleeves through that hole

DSCF5169and pinned the hems together, then sewed

DSCF5170after that I also pinned and sewed the seam allowances of the sleeves together, to keep the sleeve lining in the sleeve, and I don’t pull it with me every time I take the jacket of. then I did the same with the shoulder seams and then the back and side seams, moving towards the hole, same as when you clean a floor towards the door, so you can leave the room, without stepping on the wet floor. last I closed the hole with hand stitches

DSCF5231 (copy)and my jacket is finished!

I hope this was helpful for you! Let me know if you have any questions!

keep sewing and smiling
