how to sew a blouse-top: hems and finished!

Heyhey,

one day late, but none the less here are the final steps for the blouse top! You can still vote for the next tutorial until monday here. If you are just joining, here are the other parts of this project: part1, part2, part3.

DSCF6624first I marked my 2 cm hem allowance at hem and sleeve hem.

DSCF6625then I ironed them up

DSCF6626and sewed from the right side

DSCF6627because my pattern was pretty busy, you do not see the stitches that well. If you do use a more simple print, it would fit better with the style if you hem it invisible by hand.

DSCF6628control-picture of my not invisible zipper in the side-seam, I think the look is ok 😉

DSCF6629DSCF6630DSCF6631the finished blouse top: I like the pattern in general, it looks elegant, but is still a comfy top, for me personally the sleeves feel a little wide, but since it fits with the all-over-look I decided to keep it that way.

I hope this was helpful for you, do not hesitate to ask, if you have any questions about this project, or any other sewing related question.

And don’t forget to vote for the next tutorial.

keep sewing and smiling
