(This is a weekly blogging series, started before I did my first weeklong bicycle tour around the little belt on the Danish Baltic Sea Bicycle Route. Now I want to do the whole Bicycle Route next year, and for that, I do some shorter tours to stay in training, study Danish, do other sports, sew some things, plan, map, buy, and worry. And blog about that every Sunday… it is an adventure already.)

I am not sure what to write about this week. I do not feel like I did much preparation-wise. I was doing the math because I made it to Lübeck in 4.5 hours of pedalling and back in 5 hours when it was raining. So I thought if I would consider cycling 6 hours each day, I should be able to do about 90km each day, which would mean I would be able to do the tour in fewer days and still have enough time to visit the towns along the way. 6 hours leave a lot of time in the day for that. In the end, I know that all that planning and maths will not do any good, and I just will decide day by day. But doing the math and because of that being confident that I can do it in time is something that calms me down a lot. I just like numbers.
Which reminds me of other numbers I had to deal with today. The Finanzamt had a lot of questions about my taxes, so I was running around looking for papers today so I can send them everything they asked for. Which, as always, took up a lot more time than anticipated and left my apartment in even more chaos than before. I actually wanted to do another strength workout today, but now it’s first getting things back in order (or something like it), and then I will see how late it is and how I am feeling.
I already did one strength workout this week, studied 45 minutes Danish and cycled 26.3 km in 1:39:08 time. As I said, it was a slow week…
keep exploring and smiling
