how to sew… the jacket #106 of burda 8/15: sewing2

IMG_0857 IMG_0855Heyhey,

I survived my exams, but I will not know if I passed it for some weeks, so lets hope for the best.

You can re-read about pattern, cutting and sewing1 of this project so you know what I did to get to this next steps:

DSCF7689 next I pinned the centre back seam and the shoulder parts to the back parts

DSCF7690and pinned the front parts together

DSCF7691and the sleeve seams

DSCF7692then I sewed them and ironed the seam allowances apart

DSCF7693for that I cut into the seam allowance at the beginning of the slit

DSCF7694I also sewed the centre back seam and the shoulder parts, and ironed all seam allowances apart, at the curvy shoulder seams I had to cut in the seam allowances to do so, as showed in pictures in sewing1.

DSCF7695I also sewed my front parts together and ironed the seam allowances into the side part

DSCF7696now I pinned the shoulder seams together

DSCF7697and the lower back part to the upper back part

DSCF7698my shoulder seams end the width of the seam allowances away from the edge at the back part and one seam allowance into the front part.

Do you have any questions about this so far? Do not hesitate to ask!

If you like my print fabric, you can order it for your next project here (for this I used cotton twill).

keep sewing and smiling
