Heyhey,
I wrote this on my ipad yesterday, but then I got so annoyed with editing texts with a touchpad that I gave it up. Anyhow you can find my post about the pattern of this dress here.
the fabric I used was supposed to be a curtain, or at least IKEA thought that way, so I folded it in half.
then I tried to place all pattern pieces on the fabric and when I found the right way I pinned them to the fabric, right with the grain line
the collar and collar stand are needed twice in fold.
then I cut in the seam allowance at all important markings (like the shoulder point)
because my fabric looks the same on both sides, I marked the wrong side
I also needed smaller pocket pieces without the straight part at the end, so I folded it away
and I could cut 2 smaller pocket parts.
next I marked the pocket placement by cutting it out of the paper and then drawing lines on the fabric, of course on both parts
same with the darts in back and front
all cut and marked pattern pieces ready to be sewn
I hope this was interesting for you, if you have any questions please let me know.
you can still vote for the next tutorial here.
keep sewing and smiling
