Moin
Charlotte, Button and I are back home. We were cycling the Naturlandet Rundt until my mental health made it advisable to cancel the rest for now. I hope to return and finish it in a few weeks. Naturlandet Rundt is an 8 around the Danish Islands Lolland and Falster. You can read about the full trip here: day0, day1, day2, day3, day4, day5
This is a short report of Friday our last day of the tour for now. The morning started really windy, the tent was hit from the side so I was very impressed it stayed upright. Around 11 we left for the last 15km to Rødbyhavn to take the Ferry to Germany. But first we stopped at the small supermarket in town to check for licorice, which they sadly did not have. Then we went on pedaling. The route was easy enough to find, but I was battling the wind and of course my mind. On the way I met two really nice Canadians and finally reached Rødbyhavn.
Where I looked for the next supermarket to buy Danish licorice for a friend. Then it was time to get on the Ferry.

On the other side we waited patiently for my boyfriend to come pick us up, until he let us know there was an accident on the bridge to Fehmarn, the island I was on. So I got back on Charlotte and crossed the island to make it a shorter distance, when he finally would be able to cross the bridge.

With all that we made it home after midnight, so that is why I did not write about the day on Friday.
We cycled Friday:
in Denmark
17.3km adding up to a tour-total: 155.6 km
1:44:12h moving Charlotte
average speed: 10km/h
max speed: 15.1km/h
322m of climbing and 338m of descending

Starting point: N 54°40,287′ O 11°29,812′
End: N 54°29,796 O 11°13,217′
and in Germany:

15.2km not adding to the Naturlandet Rundt but for the day: 32.5km
1:11:50 h moving Charlotte (day total: 2:56:02h)
average speed: 12.7 km/h
max speed:20.5 km/h
54m ascending and 66m descending

money spent:
23€ for the Ferry (20 for me, 3 for Charlotte)
and some for the licorice and for perfume at the store on the ferry, which are irrelevant to the tour 😉
I really hope my mind will get better soon, so I can return and finish the tour. Are there any questions I can answer in the meantime? About gear or cycling in Denmark or anything else?
keep exploring and smiling
