how to sew… the blouse #109 of burda 7/15: sewing4

Heyhey,

the sunny blouse is finally finished. If you like to re-read the full tutorial, you can find the other steps here: pattern and cutting, sewing1, sewing2, sewing3.

The last steps are the following:

DSCF7499 now I pinned my sleeves into the bodice, bodice wrong side out, sleeve right side out placed in the armhole.

DSCF7500 sewed and sergedDSCF7501 starts looking like a blouse

DSCF7502because the facing always showed at the neckline I sewed the facing to the seam allowance

DSCF7503that still did not do the trick, so I sewed  the shoulder seam of bodice and facing together to keep it on the inside

DSCF7504my inside looks like this now

DSCF7505and finally the facing stays where it belongs

DSCF7506now I serged my hem and marked my 2 cm hem allowance

DSCF7507and folded it up inside, but pinned on the right side

DSCF7508and sewed parallel to the fold

DSCF7509last I marked the placing for the buttons with pins. I put the through the loop a few mm away from the end of the loop

DSCF7510thats where my buttons need to be

DSCF7511and I sewed them on by hand. The original pattern require 6 buttons, but with the size of my buttons I preferred 4.

DSCF7512my finished blouse

DSCF7513fitting me well 😉

DSCF7514and I think using less ruffles at the waist and just 1 big ruffled part around the hip worked well. What do you think?
