adventure preparation 8

Moin,

this is a weekly post series about me preparing for a bicycle tour. If you want to read from the beginning and didn’t already do so, you can find the posts here: the idea, the planned tour,  some of my gearmy packing list,  Buttons seat+more gear,  planned blog posts while on tour, new fabrics and gear

only 4 weeks left to prepare…

My sister is lending her 1-person-tent to me and to make sure I would not embarrass myself I did a test-build in my living room. In my mind, a 1-person-tent would be small, I guess it is, but not as small as its a good idea to try it out in a living room:

it hardly fits between table and couch and I had to be really careful not to destroy anything with the tent-pole while setting it up… 😉

Anyway, I have a tent for my trip now and I know how to set it up, even in a confined space. Thank you, sis, for lending it to me.

I also got myself a wallet (by IntiPal via Amazon) for the trip so I can pack it up before and will not get confused over the different currencies:

Even though, I will still need some €. I guess, I just like another wallet for traveling, in which all necessary papers and valuables fit. I already put all the Danish coins in it I still had from previous trips:

The Øre are the Cents and I am not sure if they are even used anymore. I think they just round up or down to Kroner nowadays. I will ask as soon as I get there.

As a kid I always loved those coins with a hole in it, I even wore one as a pendant for some time.

I am starting to get pretty nervous about this trip. Which is both: pleasant anticipation and just plain fear. But I am determined to not let fear stop me, just keep breathing…

keep exploring and smiling
