Cycling with depression day 11

Charlotte, Button and I are cycling the Danish Baltic Bicycle Route. (Day0, Day1, Day2, Day3, Day4, Day5, Day6, Day7, Day8, Day9, Day10)

Another bridge – another island. I am on Seeland now. I felt ok today, but now I am just exhausted. I guess I did not turn back soon anough yesterday. 😉

After some more chats with my fellow bicycle tourists, them leaving in different directions, packing and doing laundry, I left the campground at 10:50am.

First I had to get through Stege and find my way back on the Route.

Later I had to cycle on some busy roads with and without a bicycle lane to get to and over the bridge to the next island. I was really relieved when I got of the main road and turned into smaller streets again.

Thats the bridge:

Shortly later I found a bench next to a church and tried to relax.

Then we cycled on up and down hills and through small and bigger villages. Until it was time for the next break.

Later we cycled on a busy cyclepath into Vordingborg.

Here I left the Route to go directly to the next campground… well, with a short stop at the supermarket for new sirup and more chocolate.

The office wasn‘t open, but when I called the displayed number, a kind man came and showed me everything and suggested some great campspots for tents – even close to the facilities. And with thick gras and flat ground. 🙂

Can you see Charlotte?

Here are some more views from and of the campground:

Definitely trying the going to bed early once more today.

We cycled today:

~35 km

Total km on this tour so far: ~374km

money spent:

nothing for the campground zet

45.95 DKK at the supermarket

I will be writing again tomorrow so you can pedal along with us!

If there is anything you would like to know about, please do not hesitate to ask. I am happy to include your interest in my reports if possible.

keep exploring and smiling
